Welcome to Halfway (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a product of Akagawa Innovations Inc. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using Halfway, you agree to these Terms.

Halfway is a social iOS app for finding fair meeting places between multiple locations and turning them into real meetups with friends. It combines midpoint place discovery with a lightweight social graph, events, and push notifications. You may use the Service only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. Halfway collects and uses data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your profile data, including photos, saved anchors, and meetup history, is powered by Firestore. We value your privacy and handle your data with care.

All technology, branding, and content within Halfway is owned by Akagawa Innovations or its licensors.

Halfway uses map data and place information from Apple MapKit and OpenStreetMap (Overpass). These assets remain the property of their respective rights holders. We do not claim ownership of any third-party content, and all copyrights and trademarks belong to their original owners.

If you are a rights holder and believe your content is being used inappropriately, please contact us.

4. No Guarantees

We strive to provide an accurate and reliable experience, but Halfway is offered "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of midpoint calculations or place details.
• That the app will be error-free or available at all times.
• That meetups created within the app will reflect real-world conditions perfectly.

Use of the Service is at your own risk.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, especially in the case of:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Misuse of the platform.
• Legal or regulatory concerns.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Akagawa Innovations will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, device issues, or missed opportunities.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
